New York City changes overnight. The streets are quieter during these hours to do the “heavy lifting”. In November, the change seems most dramatic as the retail store-fronts transition from grey brick and mortar to white lights and garlands. (A total of eight blog posts tell the story and were originally published December 2014.)

I wanted to uncover who and what was involved with this transition. So in November of 2014,
over the course of three weeks in the overnight hours, I walked Fifth Avenue from 50th – 60th Streets and witnessed the process. But also discovered the extremes and ironies within these
ten blocks.
(full story here.)
In great appreciation and much thanks, to those of you who bring the light of the season
to the heart of the city!
Please enjoy this book of the process:
Until next time.
